Subject: Negotiations - Health Plan
Information
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Based on your surveys and questions
from the membership, the Union asked the Company about
alternative Health Plans that may be available. The current
Health Plan is a good plan, but the concern has been the
rising cost as well as the deductibles and copays. We have
attached a copy of the Summary Sheet for the insurance plan
our brothers and sisters have negotiated at NAS Pensacola.
They have it at the AIMD, T-39, T-45 and T-6 COMBS sites.
Please take a look at the attached
summary sheet and go online to Aetna’s website and look into
the plan for yourself. If you go to Aetna’s website you can
do a search for providers to see if your doctor and
healthcare facility is covered. The website is:
www.aetna.com.
Click on “find a Doctor.” It will take you to DocFind. When
you get there just input your selections and when you get
down to “Select a Plan,” go to the Aetna Open Access Plans -
Elect Choice EOP (Open Access) and that is the Plan.
Please let your Stewards know what
you think about it so we will know what your thoughts are on
this plan. Please understand there is not a proposal on the
table at this point from the Company on this plan. It is only
up for discussion right now. We do not know what the rates
are either.
Fraternally,
Your Negotiating Committee
