Pensacola AIMD receives Outstanding Activity Award NAS PENSACOLA, Fla. (February 20, 2006) - The Calibration Lab at L-3 Vertex NAS Pensacola Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD) recently received an Outstanding Activity Award for the period of October 2002 – November 2005 from the Navy MEASURE Operational Control Center for maintaining the best service rates. “This is a major achievement for all our Cal Lab employees,” said L-3 Vertex production foreman, Joe Diehl. “This work center processes twenty-eight hundred items a year serving multiple customers, and has done so since the contract award, and all with a zero defect rate. This was a superb team effort,” he said. The AIMD at NAS Pensacola is part of the L-3 Vertex T-39/T-2/H-3/AIMD contract at Pensacola and NAS Corpus Christi.
